Mission Statement
The Special Events Committee is responsible for the coordination of a large-scale event each semester involving the entire campus. In addition to publicizing HOSA’s name, the events should educate students in opportunities and issues in healthcare. We hope to improve attendance and quality of events each semester.
Membership Expectations
- Attend and participate in committee meetings
- Attend the 6th Annual All-Campus Healthcare Symposium (ACHS) - Tuesday, November 17th
- Help with ACHS (stuff folders, put up signage, help with set-up)
- Attend events outside of Special Events
Committee Point Requirements
Fulfilling at least one of the following for ACHS:
- Organizing panelists for one of the 10 panels
- Contacting 3-5 businesses for donations
- Organization Marketing & Advertising sub-committee
